Property Paralegal

Residential Property Paralegal | Central London

I am working closely with a well-established and highly regarded London law firm, recommended by the Legal 500, who are looking to hire a Residential Property Paralegal to join its new growing London office.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced paralegal to join a busy and highly regarded residential property team, supporting fee earners across a broad caseload of freehold, leasehold, new build, remortgage, and transfer of equity transactions, as well as lease extensions working with a broad range of client on values up to the millions.

The Role

You will support fee earners across a varied residential conveyancing caseload, including:

• Assisting with freehold, leasehold, new build, remortgage, and transfer of equity transactions
• Completing SDLT returns
• Submitting Companies House filings
• Submitting HMLR applications and dealing with requisitions
• Handling leasehold post-completion requirements
• Assisting fee earners with exchange and completion
• Opening files and assisting with AML compliance
• Closing files in line with the firm's procedures
• Liaising with clients, agents, and solicitors on general enquiries

Requirements

• At least 2 years' experience as a property paralegal
• Solid working knowledge of SDLT returns and Companies House submissions
• Experience submitting HMLR applications and dealing with requisitions
• Familiarity with leasehold post-completion work
• Confident supporting fee earners through to exchange and completion
• Strong understanding of AML compliance and file opening/closing procedures
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
