A top tier Legal 500 recognised law firm is seeking a Property Litigation Senior Associate (5+ PQE) to join its highly regarded Property Disputes team, handling a broad range of complex residential and commercial property matters for a diverse client base within a modern and people-focused practice.

It is particularly well regarded for its property, real estate and disputes capability, acting for a wide range of private individuals, landlords, tenants, developers, investors and commercial clients.

The Property Litigation team is known for combining deep technical knowledge with a pragmatic and solution-driven approach. The team advises on a wide variety of contentious property matters, with particular strength in complex landlord and tenant disputes, leasehold issues and development-related conflicts. This includes:

  • Lease renewals
  • Dilapidations
  • Service charge disputes
  • Possession claims
  • Tenant default
  • Restrictive covenants
  • Redevelopment issues

  • Specialist work in leasehold enfranchisement and lease extensions

The team is also a member of the Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners (ALEP), reflecting its recognised expertise in this area. Working closely with the firm’s Real Estate team, the practice also handles development-related disputes involving options, overage, boundary issues, party wall matters and rights to light.

The firm is highly focused on delivering proactive, strategic advice aimed at preventing disputes where possible, as well as resolving them efficiently when they arise. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Property Litigation Solicitor (5+ PQE) looking to step into a senior-level role with greater autonomy, responsibility and client exposure within a well-respected disputes team. You will manage a varied and high-quality contentious property caseload, working across both residential and commercial matters, including:

  • Landlord and tenant disputes (commercial and residential)
  • Lease renewals and leasehold disputes
  • Dilapidations and service charge claims
  • Possession proceedings and tenant default matters
  • Restrictive covenant and boundary disputes
  • Development-related disputes (options, overage, rights to light, party wall issues)
  • Telecoms and property infrastructure disputes
  • Leasehold enfranchisement and lease extension claims
  • Pre-action strategy through to trial and enforcement

You will take ownership of your own matters with a high level of autonomy, while also working closely with senior lawyers on more complex and high-value disputes. The role also offers strong client contact, court exposure where required, and involvement in broader team development and business development activity.
