We are working closely with this highly tiered Legal 500 firm, who are hiring into their growing Residential Real Estate team, with a particular focus on New Build work.
They are looking for a Senior Associate – New Build 4+ years PQE, to join a department led by a recognised Legal 500 and Chambers ranked partner.
The Firm
This prominent firm has exciting growth plans over the next few years. Their current turnover is £19 million, with projected growth to £20 million next year . They forecast a further 15% year-on-year growth and are well placed to exceed this.
They currently employ 200 staff, 150 of whom are Solicitors and Partners. As a firm, they like to grow organically and promote from within, and there are multiple examples and success stories, including an individual who joined the firm as a trainee and is now a partner over the course of 5 years.
They are a multi-service practice, with Real Estate flavour throughout all the other departments. They punch well above their weight, and their main competitors are some Top 50 firms.
The firm has attracted many Lawyers out of larger ‘city’ practices, who have been looking for a more collegiate, friendly culture where staff can make more of an impact without sacrificing quality of work and clients.
On offer is a high level of flexibility with a minimum requirement of only 2 days a week in the office. They are a family-focused firm which hosts annual BBQ’s and sports days involving partners, family and children.
The Role
They are looking for a Senior Associate (4+ PQE), with a particular focus on New Build work.
This role will sit within the existing New Build team, which sits in the larger residential real estate team, which has a leading reputation in the market.
You will have the following experience:
- England and Wales qualified, 4+ PQE with expertise in acting for property sales and purchases of new build property
- Strong transactional experience reviewing and advising on planning documentation, building regulations, warranties, estate management arrangements, service charges, rights and reservations, adoption arrangements and infrastructure agreements relevant to new-build developments.
- Ability to identify and advise clients on title, construction, planning and development risks specific to new-build properties.
- Experience managing transactions from instruction through exchange, completion and post-completion, including Land Registry and SDLT requirements.
- Commercially minded with strong drafting, client management and business development skills.
