We are partnered with a highly ranked City firm with a market-leading reputation in employment law, seeking a senior Employment Legal Director to strengthen its well-established team. This ambitious and growing practice advises some of the most recognisable employer clients across a range of sectors β from major corporate and financial institutions to high-growth SMEs and household-name brands. The firm offers genuine progression toward partnership, a sophisticated client base, and a platform where senior lawyers can continue to expand their profile.
The Role
As a senior member of the team, you will take a key role in driving the growth of the practice while advising on complex and high-value employment matters. Responsibilities include:
- Leading on strategic and sensitive disputes including whistleblowing, discrimination and senior executive exits
- Managing high-value Employment Tribunal and High Court litigation
- Acting as trusted adviser to boards, HR teams and C-suite executives on risk management, restructuring and workforce strategy
- Supervising and developing associates and contributing to team leadership
- Taking an active role in business development, marketing initiatives and expanding key client relationships
- Advising on cross-border matters, TUPE, industrial relations and regulatory issues impacting employment risk
Requirements
- Experienced in employment law, ideally with strong contentious experience and exposure to High Court work
- Confident handling senior stakeholders and providing pragmatic, commercially focused advice
- Demonstrable ability to win and retain client relationships
- Strong leadership qualities with experience mentoring junior lawyers
