A leading Legal 500 and Chambers ranked family firm in North London is looking to hire a Family Solicitor (3+ PQE) to join its respected and expanding Family team. The firm has built an excellent reputation in private family law and is recognised for its quality. Family law is a significant part of the practice, making up almost half of the firm’s overall work, and the team regularly advises on high-value and complex matters.
The Role
You’ll handle a varied caseload of private family work, with a strong focus on financial matters. Much of the work involves high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth divorces, with cases often involving assets in the region of £20–30 million. Around 80% of the work relates to financial remedy matters, with the remaining 20% covering children issues. There is genuine scope here to play a meaningful role in the development of the department.
The Team & Culture
The wider firm is around 30 lawyers strong, including solicitors and barristers, and operates with a healthy balance between employed lawyers and consultants. The culture is collegiate and professional, with many lawyers coming from strong academic backgrounds and well-regarded firms. You will find a friendly and supportive environment throughout the firm. The main office is in north London with a smaller presence in the West End. This role would primarily be based in north London with hybrid working.
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with 3+ years’ PQE in Family Law
- Experience dealing with financial remedy work and complex divorces
- Comfortable managing matters independently while working as part of a team
- Strong academics and a professional, client-focused approach
- An interest in developing your profile and contributing to the growth of the department
