This well-established London firm is seeking an experienced, motivated and detail-oriented Residential Conveyancing Assistant / Secretary to join its busy property team based in central London. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with at least 12 months’ experience in residential conveyancing support to join a supportive and fast-paced environment, working closely with experienced fee earners on a varied and high-volume caseload.
The residential property team advises a diverse client base across both freehold and leasehold transactions and has built a strong reputation for delivering a high standard of client service. As the team continues to grow, this role offers a great opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop their career within a dynamic conveyancing practice.
The successful candidate will provide full administrative and secretarial support to the residential conveyancing team, including:
- Opening and managing new files, including AML checks and client onboarding on the case management system
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other third parties to progress transactions efficiently
- Managing diaries, arranging appointments, and handling incoming telephone and email enquiries
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records on case and document management systems
- Supporting fee earners throughout the full transaction lifecycle
- Assisting with post-completion work, including Land Registry submissions and file closure procedures
- Providing general administrative support to ensure smooth running of matters across the team
The role offers regular client contact and exposure to the full conveyancing process, with the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility over time.
We are looking for candidates who are organised, proactive and confident working in a busy residential property environment. You should have:
- At least 12 months’ experience in a residential conveyancing assistant or secretary role
- A strong understanding of the residential conveyancing process (freehold and leasehold)
- Experience with AML checks and client onboarding procedures
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with the ability to manage a high-volume workload
- Excellent communication skills and a professional, client-focused approach
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems
