Financial Restructuring Associate (4-6 PQE)
We are working with a leading US law firm on a position within their top-tier Restructuring team i in their London office. The position is for a 4-6 PQE Associate.
You will be working on large-scale, cross-border restructurings, stressed and distressed investments, special situations financings and distressed M&A.
The practice is predominantly creditor-side, frequently acting for ad hoc groups and committees of bondholders and lenders, alongside credit and special situations funds as investors. The team also acts for debtors and private equity sponsors on complex capital structures, and works closely with the firm’s US restructuring and finance teams on transatlantic deals. Associates have direct exposure to clients and work closely with partners in a lean team.
This position is ideally suited to an individual with:
- 4-6 years PQE in financial restructuring and insolvency
- Experience acting for creditors, ad hoc groups or committees, ideally on cross-border matters
- Exposure to any one or more of: schemes of arrangement or restructuring plans, debt-for-equity swaps, amend and extends, special situations financings or distressed M&A
- Background at a leading City or US law firm
- England & Wales qualified
