We’re looking for adult volunteers (18+) to join our RAF Air Cadet squadrons and help support and inspire young people through fun, adventure, and personal development.
You don’t need any military background, experience with young people, or specialist skills — just patience, reliability, and a willingness to get involved.
What’s involved?
- Supporting cadet activities like fieldcraft, aviation, and community events
- Committing around 12 hours a month (flexible around work/family life)
- Helping young people build confidence and skills
- Taking part in training (all provided)
- Option to progress into leadership roles (as an Officer or SNCO)
What we’re looking for:
- Aged 18 or over
- Lived in the UK for at least 3 years
- Good communicator and team player
- Reasonably fit (no need to be an athlete!)
- Kind, responsible, and supportive with young people
What you don’t need:
- Military experience
- Youth work experience
- Flying or gliding skills
You will be required to have a DBS check which will be submitted by ourselves and you will be reimbursed with vehicle travel expenses.
