Volunteer Drivers Needed for Stoke-on-Trent Libraries’ Homelink Service
Do you have a car and some time to spare? We need volunteer drivers to help deliver books to people who can’t visit the library themselves.
What is Homelink?
Homelink connects readers with their local libraries, making reading accessible for residents who are housebound due to illness or mobility issues. Access to books and information is vital for wellbeing, and you can help make that possible.
What will you do?
- Collect boxes of books from our library store at Bentilee Neighbourhood Centre.
- Deliver them to customers’ homes across the city on a regular basis.
- Pick up books due for return and drop them back at the library store.
Books will be packed and ready for delivery—your role is to get them to the readers and bring back returns.
What do you need?
- A full driving licence.
- Your own vehicle with valid MOT and insurance.
What we provide:
