Description: The role of Early Years Volunteer is a fantastic opportunity to support families and children in your local area through our Big Cup playgroups. These playgroups provide a relaxed and fun environment where parents can spend quality time with their children, seek emotional support, and connect with other parents. As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in supporting parents, making them feel welcome, and ensuring they receive the support they need. This role is especially suitable for those interested in pursuing a career in early years. Volunteers need to be 16 years or older.

General Duties:

  • Ensure a safe and stimulating environment.
  • Get to know parents/carers and children.
  • Engage with children at their level and participate in play.
  • Assist with the running of Big Cup, including kitchen duties, setting up, greeting attendees, and supporting parents as needed.
  • Contribute to planning engaging activities for Big Cup.

Session Details:

Sessions run from 9:30 am to 11:30 am at the following locations:

  • Monday - Bentilee
  • Tuesday - Tunstall
  • Wednesday - Newcastle Under Lyme, Abbey Hulton
  • Thursday - Longton
  • Friday - Hanley, Newcastle Under Lyme

Volunteers will be required to undergo a DBS check, which will be arranged by us. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
