Marie Curie is looking for Collection Hosts to support our fundraising collections at local supermarkets, garden centres, high streets, and other venues. Collection Hosts play a key role in helping collections run smoothly and supporting volunteers on the day.
What You’ll Do
- Liaise with the local fundraising team to coordinate collection logistics.
- Help promote collections locally and encourage people to volunteer (e.g., through social media or personal contacts).
- Build and maintain positive relationships with venues.
- Support securing future collection dates.
- Contact volunteers ahead of each collection to confirm arrangements.
- Act as the main point of contact on collection days.
- Distribute materials and answer volunteer questions.
- Process income after collections in line with Marie Curie and venue policies, including banking, paperwork, and thanking volunteers and venues.
Collection Periods
- The Great Daffodil Appeal: February – April
- Summer / Autumn collections
- Christmas collections (subject to venue availability)
