Volunteer Opportunity: Collection Host – Marie Curie
Marie Curie is looking for Collection Hosts to support our fundraising collections at local supermarkets, garden centres, high streets, and other venues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the local fundraising team to coordinate logistics for collection days.
- Promote collections locally to help recruit volunteer collectors (e.g. via social media or personal contacts).
- Build and maintain relationships with venues and assist in securing future collection dates.
- Contact volunteers before each collection to confirm arrangements.
- Act as the main point of contact for volunteers on the day, distributing materials and answering questions.
- Process income after collections in line with Marie Curie and venue policies, including banking, paperwork, and thanking volunteers and venues.
Collections take place during:
- The Great Daffodil Appeal (February–April)
- Summer/Autumn collections
- Christmas collections (subject to site availability)
Requirements:
- Organised

Additional Information:
- This is a flexible role; collection dates will be arranged to suit your availability where possible.
