We have an exciting opportunity for a User Experience (UX) Team Lead with one of our esteemed clients. This role involves relocating to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this position, you will drive the user experience and mentor the UX designers, taking lead on high-impact challenges that ultimately delight the customers. You are exceptional in leading product discovery with your team, transforming ill-defined opportunities into innovative experiences that solve deeper user needs. A self-motivated leader to facilitate the UX design process from research all the way through to high-fidelity design. Working closely with senior management and collaborating with Agile scrum teams and direct reports to create a superior user experience for multiple projects across platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the UX strategy for every project from the ground up.
- Ensure intuitive user experiences across a defined project area, driving innovation, and delighting customers.
- Drive research team to lead customer interviews and testing to synthesise.
- Facilitate empathy-building activities, ideation, and design critique.
- Look past obvious solutions to solve deeper problems.
- Evaluate and craft prototypes and test your design process, iteratively progressing toward the desired business and user outcomes.
- Plan for cross-project, multi-team, multi-designer projects.
- Proactively partner with engineering across multiple projects.
- Ensure success metrics are defined and revisited after deployment in order to iterate on delivered projects.
- Coach and mentor designers.
Education:
Undergraduate / Graduate equivalent combination of education in a related field. Related fields include Design, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience Design, Software Engineering, Psychology, and Technical Communication.
Skills:
- Expert-level user-centered design skills and systems thinking.
- Proven collaboration, facilitation, interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Innovative thinking, empathy, and a desire to continuously learn and evolve.
- Excellent at building consensus across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Solid with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Miro, and Axure.
- Ability to create and maintain working relationships with a geographically distributed team.
Experience:
10+ years of professional UX experience, having done multiple successful projects. Experience leading alongside engineering and project management in a Lean UX / Agile design studio environment. Passion for making high-quality, people-centered products and a demonstrable portfolio. Experience directing and mentoring designers.
