The Player Placement Specialist is responsible for supporting the placement of Varsity Nine & Soccer Assist athletes and helping secure scholarship opportunities. This role involves managing a portfolio of clients, promoting athletes, building relationships with US coaches, assisting with scholarship negotiations, and handling administrative duties. You will also have opportunities to travel to the US to expand your network and support athlete opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Placement & Client Promotion: Support the promotion of athletes to US colleges and assist with securing scholarship offers. Liaise with clients and US coaches to facilitate scholarship contracts and agreements. Assist in managing a portfolio of assigned clients, ensuring progress is made within placement timelines. Maintain regular contact with clients and parents to provide updates and support. Work closely with the Placement Team to ensure client needs are understood and met. Keeping up to date with the collegiate landscape, rules and levels.
  • US Coaches Relationships: Help build and maintain relationships with US coaches to secure opportunities for athletes. Conduct research to identify US universities’ recruitment needs and expand coach networks. Assist with communication to US coaches and admissions staff, including inbound and outbound calls and emails.
  • Client & Parent Support: Support newly signed clients by sending welcome information, scheduling Next Step Calls, and documenting preferences for promotion. Maintain regular follow-ups with clients and report progress to the Placement Team. Assist successfully placed clients with admissions, VISA, eligibility, and logistics. Help provide pastoral support for clients in the US and facilitate positive feedback for the company.
  • Administration & Reporting: Keep accurate and up-to-date records in CRM/database systems, logging client interactions, progress, and notes. Support marketing efforts with updates on client placements.
  • Events & Operations Support: Assist with showcase events and other company events, including team organisation and client support. Work with the Video Analyst to ensure athlete footage is suitable for promotion. Help identify ways to improve internal processes and enhance client satisfaction. Network within the sports and education sectors to support the growth of opportunities.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • High attention to detail and ability to deliver excellent service.
  • Interest or knowledge of US collegiate sport is desirable; experience as a US college coach or student‑athlete is a plus.
  • Awareness of SAT exams, VISA processes, and NCAA/NAIA eligibility requirements is beneficial.
  • Strong multitasking skills and ability to manage multiple clients at once.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional email etiquette and call handling.
  • Experience with MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proactive work ethic, accountability, and willingness to go above and beyond.
