Service Charge Accountant

A Service Charge Accountant who is responsible for managing service charge reconciliations for a diverse property portfolio consisting of commercial, industrial & retail properties.
The role will require regular and direct communication with our client accountants and external auditors, to ensure the completion of service charge reconciliations in line with the lease and RICS requirements.
What Matters Most In This Role
The role requires completion of Service Charge reconciliations of varying complexity and size. You will have experience in reconciling large data sets.
To be successful in this role, you will require a high level of attention to detail, strong organisational, prioritisation and communication skills as well as good team working skills and a desire to learn and develop within your role.
Other duties will include:
Reconciliation of large, complex data sets
Monitoring of deadlines and reporting of/escalation of delays as appropriate
Liaising with external auditors
Liaising with clients as required
Ensuring Service Charge budgets are received and uploaded in line with internal and regulatory KPI\’s
Any other duties that will ensure the smooth running of the accounting department

Previous experience working in a Client Accounting or Service Charge role within the real estate industry.
Excellent and professional communication skills with the ability to build good working relationships with your colleagues, both within accounts and the Property Managers.
