About The Role
A Service Charge Accountant responsible for managing service charge reconciliations for a diverse property portfolio consisting of commercial, industrial & retail properties.
The role requires regular and direct communication with our client accountants and external auditors to ensure completion of service charge reconciliations in line with lease and RICS requirements.
What Matters Most In This Role
The role requires completion of Service Charge reconciliations of varying complexity and size. You will have experience in reconciling large data sets.
To be successful, you need a high level of attention to detail, strong organisational, prioritisation, communication skills, good team working skills and a desire to learn and develop within your role.
Other duties will include:
- Reconciliation of large, complex data sets
- Monitoring deadlines and reporting/escalating delays as appropriate
- Liaising with external auditors
- Liaising with clients as required
- Ensuring Service Charge budgets are received and uploaded in line with internal and regulatory KPI\’s
- Any other duties that will ensure the smooth running of the accounting department
What We Expect From You
A proactive, practical, and positive approach to work is required. You should be self‑motivated and thrive from working autonomously and managing your own workload.
Previous experience in a Client Accounting or Service Charge role within the real estate industry.
Excellent professional communication skills with the ability to build good working relationships with colleagues, both within accounts and the Property Managers.
