I am hiring on an exclusive basis for an excellent opportunity with a Local Authority in the Home Counties, who are looking to welcome a Principal Planning Officer to the team for an initial 6 month period.

The authority are in need of a highly experienced and capable Officer to oversee applications consisting solely of a complex and large scale nature. Types of applications will range from Rural, to Residential sites. These applications will reach up to 2,500 Units.

As well as processing these applications, you will be required to represent the Local Authority at Planning Committee and be able to capably offer expert advice to all third parties involved in the Process (for example Applicants, Councillors, the Public).

Given the priority for experience with the role, my client has insisted to leave the rate open at this stage, and adamant will pay an attractive hourly rate for the right candidate, most likely falling between £50 and £60 an hour.

Hybrid working is welcomed but the Council wish for the successful candidate to be in the office/conduct site visits once a week.
