I have partnered with a specialist commercial property management company overseeing a portfolio of commercial real estate across the United Kingdom. The portfolio spans city-centre mixed-use developments, office buildings, shopping centres, retail parks, distribution warehousing, and industrial sites, managed on behalf of professional landlords.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the foundations of a fast-growing company with ambitious expansion plans. Based at our head office in Surrey, you will work alongside Senior Facilities Managers and be supported by dedicated teams including Property Management Accountants, Property Management Teams, and Office Support.
The Role
- Assist in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of our managed property portfolio
- Coordinate and arrange statutory and routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections across properties
- Monitor statutory compliance for all properties and assist in maintaining regulatory standards
- Liaise with contractors to obtain quotations, issue purchase orders, and ensure timely completion of works
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, costs, and property inspections
- Work closely with Senior Facilities Managers on contractor management and performance
- Manage the FM helpdesk, responding promptly to maintenance requests and enquiries from tenants and contractors
- Support the out-of-hours team with emergency and after-hours maintenance requests as required
- Assist in ensuring compliance with our ISO accreditation
- Report to and actively support Senior Facilities Managers across their wider responsibilities
About You
We are looking for a self-motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic individual with excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills. You will be a confident team player who communicates effectively with contractors and tenants and uses their initiative to solve problems.
Essential skills and experience:
- 2+ years' experience working within Facilities Management in commercial property
- Strong organisational and multitasking ability
- Knowledge of building systems, HVAC, and statutory compliance
- Experience using CAFM software packages
- Strong IT skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle required
