Location: Sussex, 1-2 days on site the rest from home (open to evenings & weekends)
Rate: £45 per hour (outside IR35) or per inspection (negotiable)
We are seeking an experienced Food Safety Officer to support a local authority in Sussex on a 3-month contract.
The successful contractor will focus on:
- Carrying out inspections of Category C‑D premises
- Undertaking work on unrated premises
- Delivering high‑quality and compliant inspection reports
Requirements:
- EHRB Registration or Higher Certificate in Food Control (or equivalent)
- Proven experience delivering food hygiene inspections for local authorities
- Ability to work independently and to regulatory standards
Contract details:
- Outside IR35
- £45 per hour OR per inspection (negotiable)
- 1–2 days per week in‑area
- Flexible working options, including evenings and weekends
