Our client is a long-established, people-focused property consultancy known for its collaborative culture, flexible partnership model and strong valuation pedigree. With a national footprint and a reputation for quality, they’re expanding their Valuation & Investment Advisory offer and are now seeking an Associate to help drive growth in their portfolio valuation practice.

The Role

A hands-on Associate position focusing on multi-asset portfolio valuations for a diverse range of private & public sector bodies. You’ll handle everything from investment and operational asset valuations to purchase/disposal work, statutory valuations, development appraisals, and ad-hoc advisory briefs. You’ll manage and mentor junior surveyors, work alongside planning/development/agency teams, and help shape valuation strategy across a growing client base.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead portfolio valuations for local authorities and other public sector clients.
  • Deliver acquisition/disposal advice and best-consideration valuations.
  • Tackle varied instructions: development viability, asset reviews, alternative-use analysis.
  • Build strong client relationships and support business development.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior colleagues and help develop team capability.
  • Stay plugged into market trends and regulatory updates.

What You’ll Bring

  • MRICS (or equivalent experience) with strong Red Book competency.
  • Confident across investment and operational asset valuation.
  • Clear communicator with sharp report-writing and numerical skills.
  • Comfortable leading small teams and juggling diverse workloads.
  • Strong Excel skills; experience with Argus Enterprise/Developer a plus.
  • Ambitious, detail-driven, collaborative.
