Our client, a leading real estate business, is seeking a proactive and professional Assistant Building Manager to support the management of a prestigious commercial building in central London. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to an innovative and sustainable development.

Overview

The successful candidate will support the Building Manager in overseeing day-to-day property operations, serving as the primary contact for occupiers and service partners on all property-related matters. This role requires excellent administrative and communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a commitment to high service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a key liaison for occupiers and service providers, ensuring consistent, high-quality customer service.
  • Maintain up-to-date property records, databases, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist in implementing policies, procedures, and ESG initiatives across the estate.
  • Support with finance processes, including raising purchase orders and invoice tracking.
  • Take responsibility for coordinating meetings, managing action points, and providing accurate documentation.
  • Monitor contractor performance, support permit-to-work processes, and oversee compliance tracking.
  • Assist in managing the service charge budget and ensuring occupier obligations are clearly communicated.
  • Promote and uphold the client’s vision and values in all aspects of service delivery.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in commercial property management and customer service.
  • Understanding of service charge budgeting and RICS professional standards.
  • Familiarity with contractor and permit-to-work processes.
  • Knowledge of sustainability and ESG principles in a property context.
  • Strong administrative and IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Professional communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to learn.
