Myaward-winningclient islooking for an exceptionalcommercialSurveyorto jointheir Property Management team. Working as part of a team of experienced surveyors, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management ofone of the UK’s leading retail and leisure destinations, with opportunities to support senior directors on other major instructions.

This is a hands-on role offering significant responsibility, clientexposureand the opportunity to build strong relationships with retailers,occupiersand on-site teams.

Key Responsibilities:

You will act as a principal point of contact for the surveying and property management aspects of the scheme.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking a hands-on approach to the day-to-day management of the property.
  • Undertaking regular property inspections and ensuringappropriate follow-upactions.
  • Managing sensitive property and client data.
  • Preparing and delivering clear,accurateclient reporting.
  • Managing lease information and ensuring lease events and obligations are effectivelymonitored.
  • Managing service charge budgetsin accordance withRICS standards and best practice.
  • Overseeing arrears and debt collection, including working directly with retailers whererequired.
  • Monitoring cash flow and supporting thefinancial managementof the property.
  • Overseeing the commercialisation strategy across the scheme andidentifyingopportunities to enhance income and performance.
  • Supporting sustainability initiatives and environmental projects across the property.
  • Working closely with senior directors and specialist teams to deliver clientobjectivesand strategic projects.
  • Building andmaintainingstrong relationships with retailers and occupiers, including discussions around debt management, tradingperformanceand opportunities to refresh or improve retail spaces.
  • Providing commercially focused recommendations and advice to the client.
  • Working closely with the on-site management team to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the scheme.
  • Supporting initiatives designed to increase footfall,salesand overall customer experience within a clean,safeand welcoming environment.
  • Making regular site visits and using time on site effectively toidentifyopportunities, resolve issues andmaintainstrong relationships with key stakeholders.

About You

My client islooking for a proactive, commercially minded property professional who is confident managing complex assets and building strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

You will ideally have:

  • Proven experience within theproperty management sector, with specific experience managing shopping centres, retailparksor similar large-scale assets.
  • Strong knowledge of lease management and property accounting principles.
  • Experience managing service charges and an understanding of relevant RICS standards and best practice.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a practical, pragmatic approach to property management.
  • A strong understanding of client care and the ability to build trusted, long-term relationships.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • The confidence and initiative to work autonomously while also contributing positively to a wider team.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including a professional telephone manner and strong report-writing ability.
  • The ability toestablishcredibility and trust quickly with clients, retailers,colleaguesand other stakeholders.
  • A commercially aware mindset, with the ability toidentifyopportunities and contribute to the wider growth of the business.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
