Cover Supervisor – Varndean School
Varndean School, an 11‑16 mixed, state‑funded school in Brighton and Hove, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join the team on a 30‑hour fortnightly basis (term time only) starting September2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide cover supervision for absent teaching staff across all departments.
- Uphold teaching standards and support classroom learning.
- Collaborate with subject teams and support staff to maintain a productive learning environment.
- Participate in whole‑school CPD and tailored training sessions.
- Assist in safeguarding, welfare and school procedures as required.
Compensation and Working Hours
Salary: Scale5, point13‑17 (£28,163–£30,060). 30hours per week (term time only) equates to an actual starting salary of £20,798.
