The Visual Merchandiser – Windows and Display is responsible for the creative development and execution of all window, mannequin, and display concepts across the global store portfolio. This role works closely with Brand, Marketing, and Retail to translate product launches, seasonal stories, and category moments into compelling and commercially relevant in-store experiences.

With ownership of the Top-Line Visual Merchandising Calendar (Windows & Display), this role plays a key part in driving perception of newness and brand elevation across all stores, balancing creativity with scalability, practicality, and budget. This is a highly hands-on role, combining concept development in the VM Studio with end-to-end execution across the UK and US.

Key Responsibilities
  • Windows, Mannequins & Seasonal Display: Lead the creative development of seasonal window concepts, mannequin styling, and display direction aligned to brand and campaign priorities. Deliver storytelling that enhances perception of newness across all store formats, from flagship to smaller stores. Ensure all concepts are adaptable, scalable, and appropriate for different store environments. Maintain a consistent visual language and brand identity across all executions.
  • VM Studio – Creative Development: Lead window and mannequin planning within the VM Studio, partnering with the VM Manager. Use the VM Studio to test, refine, and validate creative concepts ahead of global rollout. Translate concepts into clear, practical, and visually engaging VM guidelines for stores. Ensure all outputs are both inspirational and executable at store level.
  • Visual Merchandising Calendar Ownership: Own and manage the Top-Line Visual Merchandising Calendar across Windows, Mannequins & display moments, Global initiatives, and New store openings. Align closely with Brand, Marketing, and VM Manager to ensure timing reflects business priorities and product flow. Clearly communicate timelines, expectations, and deliverables to VM, Retail, and Store teams.
  • Seasonal Directives & Communication: Own the creation of seasonal window and mannequin directives, in collaboration with the VM Manager. Produce clear, inspiring, and practical VM communications for store execution. Support global rollout by ensuring clarity, consistency, and ease of execution.
  • Execution & Application: Take a hands-on approach to window and display installations across UK stores. Guide and support execution across all locations, ensuring consistency and quality control. Work closely with store VM teams and AVMs to ensure accurate implementation of concepts. Maintain high standards across all executions, regardless of location.
  • Global Delivery & US Market: Partner with US VM teams to ensure alignment and consistency of window and display execution. Travel to the US for key installs and seasonal launches as required. Adapt concepts where required to reflect local store formats and operational realities, without compromising brand standards.
  • External Partners & Production: Identify when external suppliers or fabricators are required for complex or large-scale executions. Manage external partners effectively, ensuring quality, consistency, and cost efficiency. Balance creative ambition with budget and operational practicality.
  • Review & Ongoing Maintenance: Review store submissions and provide clear, actionable feedback on window installations and mannequins. Approve bi-weekly mannequin updates (with VM Manager support). Maintain consistency and continuous improvement across all locations.
  • Signage & Visual Elements: Own the development and execution of store signage, vinyls, and display elements. Ensure all visual components align with campaign direction and brand standards.
  • Budget & Sustainable Delivery: Manage VM project spend within agreed budgets. Develop cost-effective, reusable, and sustainable solutions. Ensure all creative output balances impact with efficiency.
Key Skills & Experience
  • 3–5 years’ experience in Visual Merchandising with a strong focus on windows, mannequins, and styling.
  • Proven experience delivering creative concepts across multiple store locations.
  • Strong visual storytelling and styling capability.
  • Experience creating VM guidelines, directives, or creative toolkits.
  • Ability to balance creativity with commercial and operational considerations.
