Role Overview
The Style Advisor (SA) is a brand ambassador responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, building meaningful client relationships, and supporting the store’s commercial and operational objectives. SAs work closely with Senior Style Advisors and store leadership to ensure the Varley service ceremony is consistently delivered, smooth shop floor operations are maintained, and commercial targets are achieved. This role requires passion for fashion, strong clienteling skills, and adaptability in a fast‑paced, omnichannel retail environment.
Customer & Brand Experience
- Act as a visible ambassador for Varley, creating trust, community, and personalized service.
- Build strong relationships with new and existing customers to foster loyalty and repeat business.
- Deliver the Varley service ceremony consistently in all customer interactions.
- Provide styling advice, create outfits, and go the ‘extra mile’ to exceed customer expectations.
- Support the execution of retail events, VIP appointments, and community initiatives.
- Contribute insights from customer interactions to improve service delivery and customer engagement.
- Support the delivery of exceptional service standards which are reflected in customer feedback systems (such as Survicate).
Commercial & Selling Leadership
- Drive sales, KPIs, and customer engagement through effective selling and personalized customer interactions.
- Support store leadership by providing feedback on opportunities to improve sales and operational performance.
- Maintain up‑to‑date product knowledge, seasonal collections, and awareness of market trends.
- Contribute to a culture of clienteling and repeat business.
Operations & Store Standards
- Follow all operational policies and procedures and raise noncompliance or risk to management.
- Maintain store presentation, organisation, and back‑of‑house areas in line with Varley brand standards.
- Support smooth daily store operations in a fast‑paced environment.
- Collaborate with Senior Style Advisors and management to maintain operational excellence.
- Contribute to a positive, supportive, and collaborative team environment by demonstrating professionalism, respect, and a proactive attitude in daily interactions on the shop floor.
