Responsibilities
- Monthly and year-end closings: Perform essential tasks such as bank reconciliation, review of accounts payable and accounts receivable, balance sheet reconciliation, and P&L analysis.
- Internal reporting: Generate and distribute financial reports throughout the monthly close, providing valuable insights to support decision-making.
- External audits: Collaborate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits, assisting with their requests and ensuring compliance.
- Journal entries: Prepare and post monthly and ad-hoc journal entries under minimal supervision, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Ledgers and schedules: Update depreciation, amortization, and inventory ledgers and schedules, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions.
- Ad-hoc reporting and special projects: Contribute to various financial analysis projects and assist with ad-hoc reporting requests, providing valuable insights to support business initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting: Possess a strong educational foundation in accounting principles and practices.
- 2+ years of accounting experience: Demonstrate a solid background in accounting operations, preferably in a corporate or financial services environment.
- 1+ years QuickBooks experience: Proficiency in using QuickBooks or similar accounting software is required.
- E-commerce exposure (Preferred): Experience in e-commerce accounting would be advantageous, as it aligns with our company's investment focus.
