As an Associate Seller, you will join the sales development team in North America or EMEA and contribute to creating business opportunities within the insurance sector. You will closely collaborate with sales and marketing teams to identify, qualify, and develop new opportunities with mid-sized and large accounts. In this role, you will use a multichannel prospecting strategy, combining inbound lead management, targeted outreach, and AI-powered tools to fuel Varicent's sales pipeline.
What you will do:
- Generate qualified opportunities within insurance organisations through prospecting activities and follow-up on marketing-generated leads.
- Research target accounts to identify decision-makers, business priorities, and potential opportunities.
- Establish contact with prospects via phone, email, social media, and other digital channels.
- Conduct qualification conversations to understand business challenges and assess fit with Varicent solutions.
- Utilise qualification methodologies, such as MEDDICC, to advance opportunities.
- Collaborate with regional sales directors and the marketing team to align pipeline development strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in Salesforce and engagement tools.
- Analyse prospecting activity results and adjust approaches based on data and feedback received.
What you bring:
- Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written.
- Experience in business development, sales development, inside sales, or in a SaaS environment.
- Ability to build professional relationships with stakeholders at various organisational levels.
- Experience in achieving goals related to prospecting, pipeline development, or appointment setting.
- Knowledge of tools such as Salesforce, Salesloft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar platforms.
- Ability to research accounts, identify business needs, and tailor messaging accordingly.
- Interest in the insurance sector and sales performance management solutions.
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Expected Outcomes:
Within the first 3 months:
- Successfully complete onboarding and training on Varicent's solutions, tools, and sales processes.
- Develop an understanding of the insurance market and targeted customer profiles.
- Consistently execute prospecting activities across multiple channels.
- Ensure rigorous follow-up on inbound leads and maintain accurate data in systems.
Within the first 6 months:
- Consistently generate qualified meetings and opportunities aligned with team objectives.
- Effectively conduct discovery and qualification conversations with prospects.
- Demonstrate mastery of account research, stakeholder identification, and opportunity qualification.
- Collaborate effectively with sales and marketing teams to support pipeline growth.
Within the first 12 months:
- Independently manage a territory prospecting strategy generating a steady flow of qualified opportunities.
- Clearly identify business challenges, decision-makers, and next steps in the qualification process.
- Continuously improve prospecting effectiveness through results analysis and the use of AI-powered tools.
- Establish lasting credibility with prospects and internal partners through consistent and professional execution.
The estimated annual base salary for this position ranges from £48,500 to £63,700 GBP. In addition to the base salary, our compensation programme may include bonuses, commissions for eligible sales positions, and a comprehensive benefits package. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including candidate qualifications and market data, as objectively assessed during the interview process.
