Vargo is working alongside a wellâknown financial services business to recruit an assistant Relationship Manager for the investment team.
Responsibilities
- Originate and assess investment opportunities, with a strong focus on analysing cash flow for predominantly unsecured lending.
- Achieve agreed investment volumes and return targets.
- Undertake comprehensive financial, commercial and management due diligence, identifying and evaluating key risks.
- Structure and negotiate investment terms and associated legal agreements.
- Produce clear, high-quality credit papers to support approval decisions and oversee documentation through to completion.
- Support the effective operation of the fund, delivering risk capital in line with relevant public sector and ERDF requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date sector and technical knowledge to ensure compliance and best practice.
- Work closely with portfolio teams postâinvestment to manage relationships and identify followâon opportunities.
- Build and manage relationships with introducers and intermediaries to generate deal flow.
- Promote best practice in the application process and contribute to continuous improvement of client experience.
- Represent the organisation at external events and within industry networks.
- Operate within delegated lending authorities and internal guidelines.
Requirements
- Experience in SME lending or investment.
