Full Stack .Net Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION

Overall purpose of the job

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Full Stack .Net Developer to help further develop our Web to SQL applications – to produce high-performance solutions for internal and external use. This individual will work up and down the full stack, be capable of working with existing software as well as helping to design and implement advancements to our platform offerings.

The successful candidate will join a team of developers used to working across the stack and display a desire and willingness to help mentor the team in (and develop best practice in) marrying middle tier and server side applications to the front and back ends.

Additionally:

  • Owning projects to ensure successful delivery
  • Assigning work to junior members of the team (Support tickets, BAU work and Maintenance)
  • Assisting team with project issues
  • Reporting on project deadlines and ensuring agreed deadlines are met
  • Ensuring support tickets are done within agreed SLAs
  • Ensuring BAU work is completed on time (statements, bonuses, interest etc.)
  • Ensuring maintenance is completed (monthly updates, app updates, resolving technical debt etc.)
  • Mentoring staff and developing their skillset
  • Documenting existing processes and systems; proposing solutions for improvements
  • Reviewing support tickets and identifying recurring or time‑consuming issues, then proposing solutions
  • On call for support escalation one week in four; additional payments are made for this

Other features of the job

35 hours per week based on a flexible but hybrid location policy, Monday to Friday 9-5.

Technology skills and experience

  • Expert practitioner of ASP.NET and C# for web application development/maintenance
  • Expert implementor of modern web‑based Authentication and Authorization techniques
  • Experienced with SQL database integration technologies and performance tuning
  • Strong grounding in Angular or other JS front‑end framework
  • Understanding of modern design principals, patterns and their applicability
  • Good understanding of SQL and/or other relational databases
  • Co‑ordination of deployments
  • Experience of contributing to, improving and driving coding standards
  • Experience of working within SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) processes
  • Preferred experience of using JIRA and Confluence, or something similar
  • Candidates experienced in working with Azure Dev Ops and configuration will be preferred
