A prominent high profile investment fund hiring across Wales & the South West. You will manage the full deal lifecycle—from originating and executing new investments (equity, loans, and mezzanine) to proactively managing the post-deal portfolio.

The Role

  • Origination & Execution: Sourcing new deal flow, conducting robust commercial and financial due diligence, and structuring complex debt and equity investments.
  • Investment Appraisal: Interrogating underlying cashflow assumptions, assessing risk, and preparing highly detailed investment reports for credit committee sanction.
  • Portfolio Management: Managing post-deal relationships, attending board meetings to monitor financial performance, and appraising follow-on funding rounds for businesses with significant growth potential or those requiring remediation.
  • Networking: Building and maintaining a strong network of external business introducers, intermediaries, and advisors to drive continuous deal flow.

The Profile

  • Either - ACA qualified, ideally having trained within a Big 4 Corporate Finance, Transaction Services, or Restructuring team OR relevant experience from a PE/VC Investing background.
  • Strong technical capability in financial modelling, investment appraisal, and risk assessment.
  • A highly commercial mindset with the ability to manage relationships directly with business owners and board members.
  • A valid driving licence is required for site visits and board meetings.
