The Business is a growth-oriented business based in Monmouthshire. We are looking for a hands-on Financial Controller to take ownership of the day-to-day finance operations while providing strategic insight to the leadership team.

Financial Controller
Monmouthshire
Up to £60,000 + Benefits
Hybrid (2 days on-site)
The Role
- Core Reporting: Full ownership of the month-end and year-end close processes, producing board-level financial packs, management accounts, and variance analysis.
- Operational Control: Managing the general ledger, fixed asset register, accounts payable/receivable, and short-term cash flow forecasting.
- Commercial Finance: Leading the annual budgeting process, preparing rolling forecasts, and providing financial modelling to support pricing, margins, and investment appraisals.
- Compliance & Systems: Ensuring compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS, managing external audits, and handling statutory filings (including Corporation Tax and R&D Tax credits). Identifying opportunities to automate routine processes and enhance finance systems.
- Leadership: Managing, mentoring, and developing the finance team.
The Profile
- Qualified Accountant, ideally from a Big 4 background
- Strong technical accounting knowledge.
- Advanced Excel capability and a high level of comfort with ERP systems.
