A UK bank is developing its corporate banking presence across South Wales and the South West. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to that regional development, build relationships with businesses and advisers, and help grow the corporate client base.
You'll work with a supportive senior management team and have the scope to develop your career as the regional business develops. Your work will have a direct impact on the bank's relationships and activity across the region.
THE ROLE
You'll build and manage a portfolio of corporate customers, identify new business opportunities and deliver tailored financing solutions. You'll structure debt facilities typically ranging from £5m to £100m, working with businesses and their advisers across the region.
You'll partner with colleagues across credit, risk and other areas of the bank to shape and deliver suitable lending propositions. You'll also share your experience, support colleagues and contribute to a collaborative approach for customers.
ABOUT YOU
You'll have a track record in corporate banking and lending to mid-market businesses, with experience growing a portfolio and building relationships with senior clients and advisers. You'll be confident in financial analysis, credit writing and underwriting, and experienced in structuring complex lending solutions.
You'll bring sound commercial judgement and a clear understanding of credit, operational and regulatory risk. Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills will help you work effectively with clients, advisers and senior stakeholders.
