Job Title: Associate Finance Broker
Location: Hybrid in Bath
Salary: up to £40k + commission
Vargo is recruiting on behalf of a growing and ambitious asset finance brokerage seeking an Associate Asset Finance Broker to join its expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in asset finance, commercial finance, banking, lending, sales, or business development who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and fast-growing brokerage environment.
Working closely with experienced brokers and the leadership team, you will play an important role in generating new business, supporting customers through the funding process, and building strong relationships with introducers and lending partners.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, developing relationships with clients and introducers, and assisting in the management of transactions from initial enquiry through to completion.
This role would suit a motivated and commercially minded individual who enjoys speaking with customers, developing business relationships, and building a long-term career in asset finance.
Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through outbound calls, networking, referrals, and business development activities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, introducers, and funding partners.
- Support the management of finance transactions from initial enquiry through to proposal, approval, and payout.
- Identify suitable funding solutions for customers across a range of asset finance products.
- Build and develop a portfolio of customers and introducer relationships.
- Work closely with senior brokers and lending partners to deliver successful outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and manage customer communications throughout the funding process.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service and relationship management.
- Attend meetings, networking events, and industry functions across the Bristol and Bath region.
- Contribute to the continued growth and success of the business.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within asset finance, commercial finance, banking, lending, sales, account management, or business development.
- Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable making outbound calls and proactively generating new business opportunities.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build trust and credibility.
- Organised and able to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Commercially aware with a desire to develop a successful career in asset finance.
- Self-motivated, driven, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
- Existing asset finance experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
