The Assistant Accountant will support the finance function within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, providing accurate financial reporting, cost control support, and day-to-day accounting assistance.
The role is key in ensuring timely month-end processes, stock and cost accounting, and compliance with internal controls.
- Key Responsibilitie
- s Assist with month-end close, including accruals, prepayments, journals and balance sheet reconciliation
- s Support preparation of management accounts and variance analysi
- s Maintain and reconcile stock, WIP and cost of sale
- s Assist with standard costing, and production variance analysi
- s Responsible for cost allocation specifically for Time allocation (timesheets) and expens
- e Process fixed assets, depreciation and capital expenditure reportin
- g Assist with VAT returns and statutory reporting requirement
- s Support audits and liaise with internal and external stakeholder
