We are looking for candidates with strong technical skills to join our high-energy cargo inspection systems test team supporting the next generation of high energy imaging systems. Our Test Engineers perform a variety of tasks to validate, troubleshoot and adjust the products we build to deliver the highest standard of quality equipment into the hands of imaging professionals.
What You Will Do:
- Develop, document, and review test plans for high-energy cargo inspection systems and subsystems.
- Responsible for performing system testing in compliance with applicable test plans while maintaining radiation safety.
- Aid in setup, integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting of hardware/software required for testing.
- Collaborate with R&D, hardware, software, and regulatory teams to troubleshoot and improve system performance.
- Document, organize, and present system test results.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions to support product improvement.
- Assist in verification and validation (V&V) activities as part of New Product Introduction (NPI) and Product Lifecycle Management.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or a related technical field.
- 2-5 years of experience in system-level testing.
- Ability to use computers and software applications to assist in job execution.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with mechanical systems, electrical systems, and software.
- Radiation safety training or certification (e.g. RSO or equivalent).
- Familiarity with imaging performance standards (e.g. ANSI N42.46).
- Experience safely working in fast-paced environments around heavy machinery (e.g. forklifts, gantry cranes, etc.).
- Ability to travel. Occasional travel may be required for field testing and customer support.
