Our fantastic client is recruiting an Accounts Assistant to report to the Finance Manager, working in a close-knit team of 2. Based in a very modern, luxury serviced office with facilities (constant fresh coffee!) and vibrant cool décor. This is a fantastic opportunity for a numerate accounts assistant who is enthusiastic and also flexible and 'hands on'. The accounts assistant job will suit someone who is keen to learn and develop their career within accountancy.
Your remit is to support the Finance Manager in the running of the accounts department as well as get involved in other areas of running a small business (from time to time!). The ideal candidate will be numerate, confident, keen to learn and a team player.
Supporting the Finance Manager with the month end process:
- Taking ownership of the sales and purchase ledger
- Prepare (assist with) the VAT returns, process expenses, bank reconciliations
- Support the credit control processes
- Assisting with the preparation of the monthly management accounts
- Book‑Keeping - Xero Accounting
- General office administration - helping out within the team
