Vardey Recruitment is partnering with a well-established, highly innovative, and ambitious engineering company in central Portsmouth (Hampshire) who is hiring a Marketing Manager to work closely with the MD and partner with the Business Development team. This Marketing Manager's job is a newly created opportunity with the initial focus on bringing the marketing piece “in house” from an external consultant thus enabling an experienced Marketing Manager to make this job their own!
Job Role
The Marketing Manager’s job is to create the marketing plan and create content and manage the brand, as well as establishing a strong marketing foundation, working with the business to develop the strategic plan to deliver the marketing piece. You will enhance internal engagement and communications whilst supporting the sales teams to increase growth. Build and scale the team in the future by optimising digital presence and lead generation. The Marketing Manager will work across the business partnering to help the business grow whilst cultivating all marketing channels.
Key Duties Include
- Marketing plan development and execution
- Content creation and brand management
- Create and manage engaging content for newsletters, social media, websites, and print materials
- Maintain brand consistency across all platforms and act as a brand guardian
- Manage social media channels and online content to boost brand visibility and engagement
- Track performance metrics and optimise strategies for improved reach and effectiveness
- Develop marketing materials to support the sales team
- Ensure alignment between marketing campaigns and sales initiatives, providing insights and feedback
- Prepare and manage press releases, working with external PR agencies when required
- Organise and coordinate company events, sponsorships, and marketing functions to enhance brand exposure
- Develop and execute internal marketing initiatives to promote company news, updates, and achievements
- Foster a culture of engagement by creating internal newsletters, organising internal events, and managing employee communication channels
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure key messages are effectively communicated across the organisation
- Manage relationships with external marketing vendors, such as digital agencies and printers
- Negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective solutions and high-quality service delivery
- Develop a framework for expanding the marketing function as the company grows
- Identify and implement process improvements and new initiatives to support business growth.
