We are recruiting an ambitious Finance Manager, to support the Head of Finance as the No.2 in Finance. This Finance Manager role is pivotal to the success of the finance function and would interest an energetic Finance Manager who is looking for a diverse, challenging and exciting role.
The Finance Manager will prepare the management accounts, supervise the transactional accounting (low volume) function as well as acting as a business partner to support other departments. In addition, to include annual budget, forecasting and cashflow management covering all aspects of FP&A. An ideal role for someone to make this job their own, add value and make a difference!
Finance Manager Job Duties- Prepare the monthly management accounts – to include collation of final numbers, variance analysis, reconciliations and analysis of gross margins and job costings.
- Support the weekly cashflow forecasting process ensuring all movements are explained and understood and any omissions, risks and opportunities are fully highlighted and explained.
- Assist the Head of Finance in liaising/business partnering with Operations around estimation/quotes, WIP and job completion.
- Support with all aspects of FP&A - including the annual budget and forecasting processes.
- Oversee the purchase & sales ledger process - supervise the team of 3.
- Prepare the VAT returns & manage payroll.
- Provide templates, analysis, reporting and consolidated views to the Head of Finance, as well as supporting the business with the process to ensure budgets and forecasts are delivered on time.
- Work with the Head of Finance in providing information for the Functional Heads monthly review actual v budget/forecast spend, analyse, and explain variances and provide relevant commentaries.
- Assist with the day-to-day working capital cycle and day to day liaison with Bank.
- Work with the Head of Finance to identify cost saving initiatives and group efficiencies.
- Continuously improve systems and processes, bring new ideas to the table and implement change where required.
- Ambitious Accountant - keen to continue their career journey.
- Ideally a qualified accountant ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent - Part-Qualified or QBE's with relevant experience will be considered.
- An Accountant/Finance Manager/Financial Controller/Management Accountant Finance professional with experience of supervising a team.
- Strong Excel (Power BI advantageous) and a clear advantage as would be experience of an ERP system.
- Experience of budgeting and forecasting and cashflow reporting.
- Think outside the box attitude able to influence others.
- £45,000-£55,000 depending on experience/qualifications.
