Vardey Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting an Accounts Assistant to work closely with the Finance Manager for a supportive and welcoming small company located near Ferndown in Dorset. The accounts job is offering hybrid working as well as a friendly and approachable working environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a numerate accounts assistant / accounts administrator with a “hands on” can do attitude to join the lovely team of 4.
The accounts assistant job will suit either someone keen to continue with their career maybe an AAT studier OR someone qualified by experience who is looking for a stable job with a superb bunch of people! Your remit is to take responsibility for the purchase ledger as well as helping out in other areas. The ideal candidate will be numerate, confident, keen to learn and a team player.
Responsibilities:- Taking ownership of the purchase ledger
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Dealing with supplier queries
- Checking PO's, coding invoices
- Manage, process company credit cards
- Process payment run and month end costing journals
- Support project managers with costing information using Excel
- Assist with Payroll duties
- Maintain the cashflow spreadsheet
- Responsible for CIS returns
- Support sales ledger invoicing and credit control
- Check credit check applications
- Prepare (assist with) the VAT returns, process expenses, bank reconciliations
- Supporting with other ad hoc month end tasks/ journals and costings
- General office administration - helping out within the accounts team
- Experienced Accounts Assistant / Purchase Ledger Clerk / Accounts Administrator
- Good Excel and IT skills
- A team player, flexible, “hands on” individual
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Possibly an AAT Studier or QBE
- Salary ÂŁ25,000-ÂŁ28,000 (neg depending on experience)
