Vardey Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with an entrepreneurial & expanding high-end Accountancy Practice and Corporate Finance Boutique firm based in Poundbury, (Dorchester) West Dorset. An exciting opportunity has become available for an ambitious Graduate Trainee to join their small, dynamic team. The practice offers traditional year end accountancy and taxation services alongside high-quality management information, independent Finance Director consultancy and Lead Advisory Corporate Finance. Their focus is on developing ambitious businesses to scale and then offering valuations, founder exit planning and eventual business sale execution. The practice mainly works with premium brands and is well networked with leading Private Equity firms and corporate trade buyers.

Offering a hands‑on advisory service to clients, you will benefit from direct client contact and the chance to make a real contribution to the company’s affairs. You will gain a much broader variety of experience than at most other firms!

The ACA Graduate Training Programme

On offer is a fully funded level 7 ACA Accountancy graduate training programme suitable for an ambitious individual, who is looking to become a qualified ACA Chartered Accountant. You will be provided with full study support, including paid study leave, mentorship and coaching, to support you on your journey onto ACA, and become a qualified accountant. To give you an idea of timescale, with first time passes it takes approximately three to four years to complete. You will be trained by Big 4 Accountancy alumni by a company that has been a member firm of the ICAEW since its launch in 2010. From your first day, you will be exposed to a broad range of clients and companies. Your job role will vary from accounts preparation, statutory accounts, tax planning/computations, and general office administration. You will also gain exposure to management accounting, forecasting and budgeting, as well as working with the Directors who are advising companies on M&A activity, Corporate Finance and founder exit planning.

Requirements

  • Graduate – 2.1 or above in any degree discipline
  • A’ level passes A‑C ideally in 3 subjects
  • Grade B (level 6) or above in GCSE English and Maths.
  • Valid right to work in the UK
  • Full, clean driving licence
