Vardey Recruitment is delighted to be working exclusively with a market-leading and well-established business based in Ringwood, near Bournemouth, on the Dorset/Hampshire border. We are assisting in the recruitment of a Part-Qualified Accountant to join as the Management Accountant work within this thriving, ambitious and supportive company/finance team.
This Management Accountant job role reports directly to the Head of Finance and is ideal for someone actively studying CIMA or ACCA, who’s looking to progress within a fast-growing SME which is part of an international organisation/group.

Key Responsibilities for the Management Accountant
- Prepare monthly management accounts for two entities
- Maintain working papers for monthly management accounts, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statement
- Manage and reconcile intercompany recharges
- Monitor and forecast trading cash flow
- Assist with budget preparation
- Input results into HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) for group reporting
- Produce low margin reports and analysis
- Submit VAT returns
- Oversee weekly payment runs
- Create ad hoc reports, including sales and new business analysis
- Perform month-end balance sheet reconciliations
Ideal Candidate - Part-Qualified or actively studying accountancy qualifications
- Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA) with strong technical knowledge and commercial acumen
- Highly analytical with the ability to interpret financial data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
- Confident in financial systems; HFM and BI tools/SQL are a bonus not essential but willingness to learn!
- Knowledge of FRS 102/IFRS and UK tax/VAT -ideally
- Motivated, proactive, and a team player
