Varang Recruitment are currently recruiting for carehome Chef/ Cook for our care home clients based in Slough and surrounding areas.
Head Chef duties:
- Menu development – tailor menus around residents and to ensure we deliver person centred hospitality
- Work with fresh produce to deliver high quality and wholesome dishes cooked at the highest quality and standards
- Help create a warm, efficient and fun environment
- Work within budgets
- Help to complete regular audits
- Help manage stock control
- To help lead, motivate, inspire and develop a team
Head Chef experience and qualifications:
- Qualifications within Catering/Food Safety & Hygiene
- Experience working as a chef/ cook in a similar setting
- Experience working in a busy kitchen environment
- Good understanding of nutrition and specialist diets
- Experience working with fresh seasonal food
- Good understanding of food safety
