Position is based in Cosby, Leicestershire. VAPE . CO . UK is a rapidly growing online vaping retailer that ships across the UK and all over the world. We are passionate about excellent service and improving people's smoke free journey, keeping things simple and offering a one stop destination for all types of vapers.
We are looking for a wordsmith (Content & Copy Writer). We're a young and fun team, looking for somebody to bring ideas and energy to the role with real responsibility from day one.
The Role:
- As a Graduate Content & Copywriter, you will work within our content, partnerships and marketing team to provide timely content written with an SEO first approach.
- You will be solely responsible for the curating and creation from idea to finish of our product descriptions and support our commercial efforts with pricing.
- You will focus mainly on written product descriptions and PLP's, but will also support our team with digital assets like imagery, pricing and wider digital marketing execution.
- You will help to generate new ideas and have the chance to create your own blog posts based on our overall content strategy.
This is an opportunity for somebody to learn the ropes at a high growth e-commerce retailer, at an entry level whilst being given the complete responsibility to really make a difference in the role.
The main responsibilities and duties include:
- Uploading new products and writing product descriptions
- Writing long form blog content and help guides
- SEO focused content writing
- Some image editing and design
- Adjusting website pricing and offers
The ideal candidate:
- You will be a natural born creative with an eye for detail.
- If you're a novice, you'll be given complete training and the freedom to bring your ideas to life.
- If you're an expert, we love that too.
- We want an ideas machine that can turn sometimes complex and well researched content into simple easy to understand information.
- This role is not just open to business grads, but we welcome any discipline, especially English or similar.
Worried you know nothing about vaping? That's okay, we'll teach you to be an expert and then you'll teach our wonderful customers. You do not need to vape to work here but it is a huge bonus if you do.
Definite Requirements:
- High organisation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Exceptional written English
- Strong IT skills
Nice to have:
- Some experience with writing either professional or personal
- Some vaping knowledge / experience
- Any form of background in creativity / marketing / ideas
- Photoshop / Photo editing design experience
- Understanding of SEO practices and SEO copy
- E-commerce experience
- Graphic design skills

This is an in office based role, working in our office and the hours are 40 hours 08:30 - 17:30 Monday - Friday. The position is salaried and full time including pension.
