VAPAR is growing in the UK, and we’re looking for a Key Account Manager to help us strengthen, expand and deliver value across our UK client base. This is a senior, customer-facing role for someone who understands the UK wastewater sector, knows how water companies and the wider supply chain operate, and can build trusted relationships across operational, technical and senior stakeholder groups.

At VAPAR, we use AI to help utilities improve asset health, identify problematic underground assets earlier, and make better use of sewer inspection videos. Our technology is already being used by utilities in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and the US, and last year supported asset health decisions across more than 2 million metres of pipe globally.

Reporting to the UK Commercial Director, this role will suit someone who can combine account leadership, customer success discipline and operational delivery. You will be responsible for helping our UK clients get value from VAPAR, increasing adoption across existing accounts, supporting pilot-to-BAU conversion, and working closely with our UK Customer Success Manager. You will also work closely with our wider leadership and product teams, acting as an important link between client needs, UK market insight and technical product development.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Building and expanding relationships with UK water sector clients
  • Driving customer success, adoption and account health across existing accounts
  • Identifying and shaping expansion opportunities within current relationships
  • Managing pilot and trial delivery with clear objectives and success criteria
  • Supporting technical integration projects and client communications
  • Leading account planning, governance, stakeholder mapping and reporting
  • Feeding UK market insight, client feedback and product requirements into our technical teams

What we’re looking for:

  • ~10+ years’ professional experience, including 5+ years in the UK wastewater sector
  • ~ Experience working in, or closely with, UK water companies, either from within a utility or from the supply chain
  • ~ Strong understanding of how UK water companies operate and deliver work through the supply chain
  • ~ Experience managing post-sale key accounts, customer success activity or strategic client/partner relationships
  • ~ Experience helping pilots, trials or early-stage deployments move into embedded BAU activity, either from the supplier side or the client/utility side
  • ~ Confidence managing senior and operational stakeholders
  • ~ Experience owning client escalations and coordinating cross-functional resolution
  • ~ Direct line management experience
  • ~ A remote-first working style, with willingness to travel across the UK as required

This is not a cold new-logo sales role. The focus is on existing and developing relationships, customer outcomes, adoption-led growth and structured account leadership. Commercial contracting and pricing decisions sit with the UK Commercial Director, but this role will play a central part in creating the conditions for growth.

The role is UK-based and remote, reporting to the UK Commercial Director, with UK travel expected around 20–40% of the time. We offer a competitive salary, performance-based bonus, employee share scheme inclusion, flexible remote working, professional development opportunities, and the chance to play a meaningful role in the growth of a deep-tech company operating in a critical infrastructure sector.

If you know the UK wastewater sector and want to help scale AI-driven asset health technology across the market, we’d be interested to hear from you.
