You’ll play a key role in building and scaling an omnichannel media proposition, working directly with brands to translate data into campaigns that drive both sales and customer engagement.
What You’ll Deliver

- Build compelling commercial propositions and rate cards for suppliers
- Partner with brands to design data-led, omnichannel campaigns across stores and digital channels
- Identify and monetise advertising opportunities across in-store, online, and digital platforms
- Use customer insights (Ometria, Power BI and other tools) to target audiences and influence supplier investment
- Own campaign performance reporting – driving ROI, engagement and conversion improvements
- Align campaigns with category strategy, product launches and promotional calendars
- Work cross-functionally with Buying, Retail Operations and Digital teams to deliver best-in-class execution
This role is pivotal to delivering our ambition to grow commercial marketing income and retail media capability, while strengthening strategic supplier partnerships.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in commercial marketing, trade marketing, shopper marketing or FMCG customer marketing
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to sell marketing opportunities to brands
- Proven track record of working with suppliers or external partners to generate revenue
- Strong analytical capability – able to turn customer insight into actionable campaigns
- Experience operating across omnichannel retail environments (store + e-commerce)
- Confident stakeholder manager, able to influence internally and externally
- Hands-on, delivery-focused with strong attention to detail
Why This Role Stands Out
- Opportunity to build and shape the development of the commercial marketing function in a dynamic and fast-growing business
- Access to a highly engaged customer base and large omnichannel reach
- Direct visibility of impact through revenue generation and campaign performance
- High level of ownership and autonomy in a commercially critical role
What’s In It For You
- Working at Angling Direct isn’t just another retail role. It is an opportunity to be part of a growing, purpose-led business where you can genuinely make an impact.
- Enjoy great rewards and benefits
- Competitive salary and bonus opportunities
- Generous colleague discount on products
- Pension and life assurance
- Wellbeing days off and support
- Access to ongoing learning and development
- Turn passion into a career! If you love fishing, or simply enjoy working in a specialist customer-focused environment, you’ll be surrounded by knowledgeable colleagues and customers who share that enthusiasm!
