We are seeking an experienced Medical Field Service Engineer, to cover London and surrounding area (Berkshire). You will ideally be located in the Hayes / West Drayton area. Function/Business Area: Technical Service
Summary
The Field Engineer is tasked with the installation, servicing, repair, and maintenance of Vantive products. This role is essential for maintaining high standards of service and ensuring customer satisfaction while adhering to company procedures, particularly in areas such as service documentation and environmental health and safety.
Key Accountabilities
- Install, service, repair and maintain products, distributed by Vantive in the defined area of responsibility as per the defined service documentation and the quality system framework.
- Establish & maintain timely customer communications & relationships, along with other key stakeholders (e.g. team members and business units).
- Report all relevant service activity, ensuring updated and accurate service data in the service system (all work orders should be closed within the same day).
- Responsible for maintaining and documenting the assigned calibration equipment.
- Provide technical support for in-bound calls from customers & patients, document the job on the system and undertake the relevant actions.
- Maintain up-to-date technical competence in assigned products by completing the relevant training and development.
- The Field Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of Vantive products in the field. By focusing on customer relationships, technical support, and continuous improvement, the Field Engineer contributes significantly to the overall success of the organization and the satisfaction of its clients. This position not only requires technical skills but also a proactive approach to identifying business opportunities and enhancing service delivery.Review KPIs regularly and adapt the working practices to ensure service level is maximized.
Qualifications
- Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent level qualification in the relevant engineering field (e.g medical technology, electronic, mechanical) would be advantageous.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good organisation and prioritisation skills
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Excel)
- Good technical problem solving skills
- Basic level of commercial awareness would be advantageous
- Good administration skills
Experience
- In-depth level of practical experience (e.g. circa 3 years of proven experience as a minimum) in the relevant technical/engineering discipline with measured KPIs
- Demonstrable experience in meeting business-critical timeframes and deadlines
- Successful experience in maintaining continuous professional development
- Successful experience in managing and engaging with the customer
Knowledge
- Good IT knowledge of general connectivity, network integration of devices, wireless protocols, mobile network technologies, software support and cyber security standards would be advantageous.

- Frequent and regular travel within the assigned geographical region in UK. May need to travel to other locations in UK, Ireland & Europe on an occasional basis
