The QC Laboratory Manager is responsible for leading the laboratory team to ensure that batch release and stability testing activities are completed within defined timelines and in full compliance with Vantive Quality Management System (QMS) requirements. This role ensures adherence to safety, GDP, and GLP standards, while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence within the laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain Vantive QMS requirements for Laboratory Systems
- Ensure all batches are tested and released to QA within agreed timelines
- Support the Validation Manager by providing laboratory resources
- Support the Stability Process Lead by ensuring stability testing is executed and completed within expected timeframes
Operational Responsibilities
- Drive the implementation of Visual Management and 6S practices within the laboratory
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and VIP projects
- Develop and enhance leading performance indicators and drive ongoing improvement
- Maintain and update laboratory metrics using tracking tools (MOST)
Quality Systems Responsibilities
- Actively participate and lead key quality systems, including:
- Laboratory Investigation Reports (LIR): Initiator, Owner, Approver
- Change Control: Initiator and Owner
- Documentation: Owner
- NCR/CAPA: Initiator and Owner
- Internal Audits: Lead Auditor
Skills & Experience
- Degree in Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related discipline
- Strong understanding of GMP / GLP / GDP requirements, Laboratory operations and quality systems.
- Leadership and team management skills
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Communication and stakeholder management skills
