As a Senior Software Engineer – Platform Engineer at Worldpay, you will develop and support the product, adopt best CI/CD practices, and increase the speed and resiliency of our delivery practices. You will collaborate on product vision and roadmap with various teams, participate in agile sprints, and keep up with DevOps best practices and trends.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain & automate AWS infrastructure via Terraform
  • Work with containerization technology (Docker, EKS)
  • Set up, build, and manage CI/CD tools (e.g., CloudBees Jenkins, Harness)
  • Provide technical support/consultation to development teams
  • Understand team objectives and ensure alignment with Sprint / PI goals
  • Participate in code reviews, retrospectives, and demos
  • May be responsible for developing or executing project plans, budgets, and schedules, and documenting work and results
  • May deliver informational and decision‑seeking presentations to technical and business groups
  • Other related duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3–4 years of professional work experience as a Platform / DevOps / Cloud Engineer
  • Experience in Kubernetes, Terraform (IaC)
  • Experience managing and automating AWS infrastructure
  • Experience in coding/scripting languages (Java, Python, Bash, Go)
  • Experience with Helm
  • Linux system fundamentals
  • Experience with CI/CD automation and deployment
  • Knowledge of monitoring, alerting, and logging
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Certification in Cloud / IaC / Containerised applications is a plus
  • Experience with configuration management (Ansible)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
