Join a growing network of Locum Educational Psychologists with Vantis. At Vantis, we are currently partnering with several Local Authorities across the UK to recruit experienced Locum Educational Psychologists to support with statutory assessment work (EHCNAs / EHCP psychological advice). With increasing Local Authority demand and expanding SEN budgets, we have a range of remote and face-to-face opportunities available nationwide. Whether you are looking for a small amount of additional work alongside existing commitments or a more consistent caseload, we would love to have a conversation.
The Opportunity
As a Locum Educational Psychologist, you will support Local Authority Educational Psychology Services by undertaking statutory psychological assessments and producing high-quality psychological advice for Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs).

- Ideally 4 cases per month capacity (although alternative availability can be discussed)
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Undertaking statutory psychological assessments as part of the EHCNA process
- Producing high-quality EHCP psychological advice and reports within agreed timescales
- Conducting consultations with schools, parents/carers and relevant professionals
- Completing cognitive, psychoeducational and needs-based assessments where appropriate
- Providing clear, evidence-based recommendations to support positive educational outcomes for children and young people
- Working collaboratively with SEN teams, schools and wider professionals to support provision planning
What We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements
- Qualification as an Educational Psychologist
- HCPC Registration
- Experience completing statutory assessments / EHCNA work
- Strong report writing skills and experience producing EHCP psychological advice
- Ability to manage workloads independently and meet agreed deadlines
Desirable
- Previous Local Authority or locum EP experience
- Experience working remotely and autonomously
- Capacity for four or more cases per month
