CRP Subsea is looking for a Test Inspector to participate in the Test & Development Department, and to contribute to the overall TO strategy on a day-to-day basis to achieve approved targets. You are expected to exemplify the behaviours that are outlined in the CRP Subsea Manufacturing Competency & Skills Functional Excellence Matrix and do your utmost to improve and enhance the reputation of CRP Subsea in all your business dealings.
What will you do as a Test Inspector?
- Assemble CRP products using mechanical equipment ready for testing.
- Ensure strict compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) with reference to H&S and Quality.
- Contribute to the Product Test Area on an individual and team basis.
- Operate hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and machinery in a safe manner whilst adhering to health and safety legislation at all times.
- Perform a range of activities associated with the preparation of material testing, completion and inspection of tested product.
- Respond effectively to fluctuations in the planned and amended test schedule.
- Troubleshoot and maintain equipment in accordance with relevant Preventive Maintenance documentation.
- Report any unresolved issues to the Test & Development Supervisor.
- Reduce occupational injuries inherent to the area by ensuring proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn at all times.
- Adhere to all works order documentation.
- Ensure that housekeeping in the Product Test Areas are maintained to the highest standard.
- Participate in developing product testing activities e.g. working practices, equipment specifications, improvements in productivity and quality.
- Fulfilling all duties identified in The Map and driving continuous improvement.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties that may be requested from time to time.

- Mechanical technician with hands on experience.
- Effective communicator with the ability to build relationships with individuals at all levels.
- Strong teamworking and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deliver a high standard of customer service both internally and externally.
- Ability to accurately interpret technical drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Time-served apprenticeship or an equivalent qualification within a manufacturing or engineering discipline.
- Willingness to work in offsite locations and partake in appropriate BOSIET training as and when appropriate.
- Proven track record within a fast pace, demanding manufacturing environment.
- Involvement in change initiatives and projects with a view to continual improvement.
